I was raised in Eugene attending Laurel Hill Elementry, Roosevelt Junior High and South Eugene High schools. I studied Architecture at the Junior College level in California but returned to Eugene to study Mathematics at the University of Oregon.
I began working as a Carpenter while studying in California in the late 1980's. I have worked for small Contractors doing everything from foundations, to framing, to finish. I also worked 11years for a large Commercial Contractor, where I supervised and ran crews. I went out on my own in 2004 longing to work hands on
once again.
I enjoy my work and am grateful to make a living doing what I do. When not working I enjoy being outdoors. Hiking and backpacking are at the top of my list, although I also enjoy kayaking and telemark skiing and while I'm at it lets not forget about plants and animals, much of the enjoyment in being outdoors is learning about the world around me - and at the same time myself.
I believe in minimizing my impact on the world we all live in. I use 100% EWEB greenpower, I offset all of the carbon generated by my use of natural gas. I treat materials as the valuable resource that they are.
I built this web site and use a web host in Portland that also uses green power.
